About Lin Honeycutt

Lin Honeycutt, 65, has been the proprietor of Honeycutt Transmission and The Holiday Light Store for 20 and 30 years, respectively. Mr. Honeycutt was self-employed from the start and has been an entrepreneur for the most of his adult life. Both businesses are successful in the Raleigh region, and The Holiday Light Store is well-known worldwide.

Mr. Honeycutt has an Associate's Degree in Auto Mechanics and was named one of the top ten mechanics in America, earning him $10,000. Honeycutt Transmission, his state-of-the-art facility, has gotten the highest praises from the City of Raleigh.

Mr. Honeycutt is happy to have served as a missionary in 20 states in the United States and across the world as a devout Southern Baptist Christian. He has been a member of NC Baptist Men for over 30 years and has served in several church leadership roles with the Raleigh Baptist Association in the past ten years. He has preached the gospel in over 20 different congregations and has constructed houses and churches in four different nations with his own hands. Mr. Honeycutt is now the Region 4 Recovery Coordinator for the Sandy Creek Baptist Association, which acts as an Operation Site for Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.

He also volunteered with the North Carolina Baptist Men's Association Disaster Relief after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, and again in April 2011 when tornadoes ravaged Wake County. When he's not in the shop, Lin Honeycutt loves collecting automobiles, skiing, and growing hay, as well as spending time with his 31-year-old wife Cindy, two kids, and three grandchildren. Every Christmas, Mr. Honeycutt lights up his farm with over a million Christmas lights for Raleigh people of all ages to enjoy.
